With expert programming and killer playlists, his classes offer the perfect mix of hard work and fun.

I’ve been working out for 12+ years, focusing on CrossFit for the past 6. I enjoy competing as it challenges me mentally as well as physically. 

Barbell cycling workouts are one of my favourite ways to train, as they make me feel accomplished. 

Currently working on improving my gymnastics skills, to become a well rounded competitive athlete. 



I love helping members achieve their goals and push through their mental block. The joy on their faces as they make progress is one of the reasons I enjoy coaching so much, along with seeing them pick up on new skills and movements.

Originally from the UK - my fitness coaching journey started in 2012 as I tried to make myself a better athlete. Along this journey, I realised that the real satisfaction was helping and develop others.


As I started my OCR (Obstacle Career Race) journey in 2015, I built a community and trained them to be better racers.


A Spartan Race Ambassador since 2018, I now focus on develop Hybrid athleteswho want to get faster, stronger and more efficient in Spartan Races and other hybrid fitness events.

I’ve been involved in weightlifting for almost 40 years, starting at age 10, following my father’s and godfather’s legacy. I competed at the national and international level, winning Finnish Championships, Nordic titles, and European Youth medals before transitioning into coaching after a knee injury.


As a coach at Vanguard Weightlifting and District 13, I focus on teaching the technical beauty of Olympic weightlifting. My goal is to help athletes develop strength, confidence, and focus through repetition and dedication, guiding them to unlock their full potential in this incredible sport.

BEN

Beginning with a CrossFit background of 3 years, now dedicated to Olympic Weightlifting for almost 10 years and counting.
 
With training, learning from experience with the struggle, hardship & grind to become a better individual. Not just physically, but also mentally. Especially in this sport where it can really take a toll on your body and mind.

Coaching gives me joy when I am able to see different members put in time and effort to improve, and grow as an athlete. From changes on technical aspects of a lift, understanding simple anatomy functions, & being mindful of their well being - this is crucial to positive character development for any individual today.

​Generally, feeling healthy is something I am very thankful for. But personally, I feel it's the mental aspects of training that have taught me alot about myself. It's given me different perspectives in life today on how to do the best I can, and enjoy the journey :)

​I am a martial artist at heart. I practiced Wing Chun through most of my twenties and am currently a BJJ blue belt. I love spending time in nature, hiking and chasing waterfalls. I also enjoy rock climbing and unconventional lifting.
